After a childhood whose aesthetic was irrevocably influenced by Flannel Fun (vector-like shapes of felt that stick to a flannel board), Tracy graduated from Art Center College of Design and headed straight to New York where she worked for various publications as a freelance illustrator and on staff as an art director at 3-2-1 Contact Magazine of Children’s Television Workshop. After seven years working in the Big Apple, she returned to L.A. to do illustration for advertising agencies and publications and to acquire a Masters in Architecture degree from UCLA. After working in architectural offices for a few years, Tracy returned to school to study graphic design, graduating from California State University Long Beach with a BFA degree in graphic design. She currently teaches graphic design at California State University Long Bech and at Cerritos College, as well as freelancing in illustration, graphic design, and architectural design. Tracy currently resides in Long Beach CA.
